Pocono Raceway Unveils Its $300 Million Slot Casino Plan
POCONO, PA. - A slot casino of 200,000 square feet with a casino of 80,000 square feet, convention hall of 80,000 square feet and spa, shops and restaurants of 40,000 square feet. Located 3 miles south of Exit 284 of Interstate 80. A five minute ride. No stop signs. No red lights. Estimated Cost: $300 Million Dollars
Pocono Raceway has been in business since 1957. Its two NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races are the two largest spectator events in Pennsylvania. It is a Pocono business, owned by Pocono people who send their children to Pocono schools, live in the Poconos and pay taxes in the Poconos. Other major tourist attractions that we have been involved in are Camelback Ski Area, Alpine Ski Area, Pocono Laurel Lake Development, Center Square Golf Course, Blakeslee Inn & Restaurant, Pocono Raceway Campground and the Raceway Village Development.
We have had extensive experience in selling the Poconos to our New Jersey and New York neighbors. We feel strongly that we can do the same with a Pocono Slot Casino. We are ready, willing and able to proceed ahead.
