Season tickets, gift certificates for South Boston Speedway’s 2013 season are still available
SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — Christmas is less than one month away, and if you’re still looking for the perfect gift to please your hard-to-buy-for NASCAR racing fan, South Boston Speedway has the answer.
America’s Hometown Track is offering season tickets for the upcoming season and gift certificates for the 2013 campaign just in time for the holiday season.
Season tickets are priced at only $150 and are good for all 18 of the action-packed racing events slated in the upcoming season at the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval.
Gift certificates, available in any increments, are also available for purchase and would make great stocking stuffers.
South Boston Speedway will open the 2013 season on Saturday, March 9, with the running of the Danville Toyota NASCAR Whelen Late Model Twin 100’s racing program.
The season-opening event will also feature action for the Limited Sportsman Division and the Pure Stock Division. The first three NASCAR Whelen All American Series events of the 2013 campaign will feature afternoon starts.
One of the highlights of the 2013 season at South Boston Speedway will be the annual 200-lap NASCAR Whelen Late Model Stock Car race and the annual Fireworks Extravaganza will be held on July 3. That event will also feature a 100-lap race for the Limited Sportsman Division and a 50-lap race for the Pure Stock Division.
South Boston Speedway will also host the touring PASS Super Late Model Series for three events in 2013. Those events are scheduled on May 11, June 8, and Aug. 17. All three of those events will also feature twin races for the competitors in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division.
The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour will visit the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval on Saturday, April 13. That event will also feature twin races for the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division.
Last week, South Boston Speedway officials announced they had made arrangements for the high-powered Modifieds that run on a regular basis at Langley Speedway to battle it out in six races on five different dates in 2013 at America’s Hometown Track.
The modified competitors are scheduled to race at America’s Hometown Track on March 23, April 20, May 4, July 13, and Sept. 14. The April 20 appearance will feature a pair of modified races.
South Boston Speedway has also announced plans to have a return visit of the popular Monster Truck Show in 2013. That event, which will feature fireworks, is slated for Sept. 21. It is included on the schedule in addition to the 17 racing events next year.
