Advance tickets just $10 for PASS Super Late Model, NASCAR Whelen Late Model action at SoBo

SOUTH BOSTON, VA. — The Pass Super Late Models and the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division will both be in action this weekend at South Boston Speedway.

America’s Hometown Track will return to action Saturday with the running of the PASS Super Late Model 150 racing program.

The night of racing on the historic four-tenths mile asphalt oval will get cranked up at 7 p.m.

Highlighting the four-event slate of racing action will be a 150-lap tussle for the competitors in the touring PASS Super Late Model Series, along with twin 75-lap races for the highly competitive drivers in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division.

An event for the touring Legends Cars will also be held Saturday night.

Before racing actions begins at 7 p.m., a Fan Appreciation Session will be held trackside from 5:45 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. to enable fans to visit with their favorite competitors.

The father-son duo of Jay and Tate Fogleman of Durham, N.C. are among the PASS Super Late Model Series who will be seeking a victory. Kyle Grissom is also slated to compete and seek his second PASS triumph at South Boston Speedway.

Others who are scheduled to fight for the PASS Super Late Model victory Saturday night include Ross Kenseth, Kevin Powell, Brandon Ward, Brandon Lynn, Spencer Davis, Cole Timm and many others.

Defending NASCAR Whelen All American Series national champion Lee Pulliam currently leads the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model Stock Car Division standings at South Boston Speedway.

Pulliam, who has reeled off five wins and two runner-up finishes thus far this season, is 61 points ahead of second-place Bobby McCarty.

Former multi-time NASCAR Whelen All American Series national champion Philip Morris is third in the standings. He trails McCarty by eight points, and is 12 points ahead of Dustin Storm. C.E. Falk rounds out the top five in the standings.

Grandstand gates will open Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Qualifying time trials will also begin at 4:30 p.m. Practice for the competing divisions will be held Saturday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Advance tickets for Saturday’s PASS Super Late Model 150 racing program are currently on sale and priced at just $10 each for adults. Advance tickets can be purchased at the South Boston Speedway office through 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10. Adult admission on Saturday will be $15. Children, ages six and under, will be admitted free with a paid adult.
