November 8 State Water Heaters Krush 250 to Bring Top Late Model Drivers, Teams to South Boston Speedway

SOUTH BOSTON, VA (September 17. 2025) – South Boston Speedway has added a new event to its 2025 season schedule, one that will bring top-tier Late Model Stock Car Division drivers and teams to the legendary .4-mile oval for what will be a “must-see” event.


The State Water Heaters Krush 250 Presented by Rogers Heating & Cooling, a 250-lap Late Model Stock Car Division race paying $12,000 to win and carrying a $75,000 purse, will be held at South Boston Speedway on Saturday afternoon, November 8.



Along with the hefty winner’s prize, the event will have $3,200 in bonus awards and will pay $1,200 to start.

The showcase event is a fund-raising event for The Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit conservation and outreach organization. It has been moved to South Boston Speedway for 2025 after being held last year at Orange County Speedway.


"We are very excited to bring the Krush 250 to South Boston Speedway this year,” said former NASCAR star and Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton. “We are grateful for our partners at State Water Heaters, Rogers Heating & Cooling and everyone at South Boston Speedway for making this all possible.”


“I’m excited to bring this race back to my hometown—a place filled with history for my dad, my uncle, and myself,” added NASCAR Xfinity Series standout Jeb Burton, a multi-time winner in the series. “Last year’s event was a big success for WBWF, and I believe this year will be even bigger. I'll be back behind the wheel again. Last year, I finished sixth and hoping to improve that performance at my home track in front of thousands of fans as well as friends and family."


Advance tickets are $20 each. Tickets at the gate on race day will be $25 each. Event ticket sales will benefit The Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation.


Fans may also take advantage of a special Ward Burton and Jeb Burton meet-and-greet suite package for $100. The package includes an indoor suite seat with a 30-minute question-and-answer, meet and greet session for guests with former Daytona 500 winner Ward Burton and NASCAR Xfinity Series winner Jeb Burton.

The Burtons will join guests in the suite, answer questions, sign autographs and take photos. Each guest will also receive a Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation hero card and branded Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation item.


The 250-lap Late Model Stock Car race will be run in three segments. The first segment will end at or around lap 105. A 10-minute break will occur at that point during which teams can make adjustments to the cars and change two tires. The Stage 2 break will occur at or around lap 175. A 10-minute break will happen at that point during which teams will be able to make adjustments to the cars and change two tires.


The tentative event schedule for the Saturday, November 8 State Water Heaters Krush 250 Presented by Rogers Heating & Cooling has frontstretch grandstand gates opening at 9:30 a.m. Practice is set from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Trackside parking gates at Turn 4 and the backstretch will open at 10:30 a.m.


Single-car qualifying will start at 11 a.m. A driver autograph session will be held on the frontstretch of the speedway from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Pre-race ceremonies and driver introductions are set for 2 p.m. and the State Water Heaters Krush 250 Presented by Rogers Heating & Cooling will get the green flag at 2:30 p.m.
