SOUTH BOSTON, VA (October 28, 2025) – For the fifth time in the track’s history South Boston Speedway will host the zMAX CARS Tour championship event in 2026.

The zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model Tour will wrap up their respective 2026 seasons and crown their champions at South Boston Speedway on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

“South Boston is that perfect track where there is so much history with Late Model Stocks and Pro Late Models,” said zMAX CARS Tour co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. “There are a lot of big names that have come out of that track over the last several decades. I can't think of a better place to be able to close out our seasons and celebrate our champions in the Pro and Late Model Stock classes. It's going to be pretty incredible to finish at a facility like that.”

South Boston Speedway General Manager Brandon Brown agrees.

“We are very excited to host the zMAX CARS Tour’s championship event and be a part of the crowning of the 2026 CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car and Pro Late Model champions,” Brown said. “The zMAX CARS Tour season finale always produces exciting races and a dramatic end to the series championships. It will be a thrilling event for our fans and a great way to close out our 2026 season schedule.”

South Boston Speedway hosted the zMAX CARS Tour championship event in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021, with Josh Berry winning the Late Model Stock Car championship in 2017 and Bobby McCarty winning the Late Model Stock Car title in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
