The Krush 250 Returns to South Boston Speedway on Saturday, November 14

Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation and South Boston Speedway Again Partner for $12,000-to-Win Late Model Stock Car Event

SOUTH BOSTON, VA (August 10, 2026) – The best Late Model Stock Car drivers are ready to “Krush” it once again at South Boston Speedway.

For the second straight year, the Krush 250 presented by Rogers Heating & Cooling benefitting the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation returns to South Boston Speedway.

This year’s Krush 250 is slated for Saturday afternoon, November 14, and will again bring top-tier Late Model Stock Car competitors to the legendary .4-mile oval for a “must-see” event.

A large pot of prize money will be on the line in the 250-lap feature with $12,000 going to the winner. The race will pay $1,000 to start, the pole winner will earn $1,200 and the leader at the end of Stages 1 and 2 will earn $500 apiece. The complete 2026 event format will be announced soon.

Event ticket sales will benefit the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit conservation and outreach organization founded by South Boston, Virginia native and 2002 Daytona 500 champion Ward Burton.

Jeb Burton, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series winner and Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation board member, is looking forward to this year’s event.

“This year’s Krush 250 presented by Rogers Heating & Cooling will be the best yet,” Burton said. “We’re back at South Boston Speedway and are looking forward to having a stacked field of some of the best late model talent in the country and putting on a great show for the fans all while raising money for the Foundation’s conservation and outreach programs. Last year’s Krush 250 was an intense, highly competitive race won by Kaden Honeycutt. There were six lead changes among six drivers with Jeb Burton, Jacob Borst, Doug Barnes, Stacy Puryear, Bobby McCarty and Honeycutt taking turns up front. Honeycutt and McCarty dueled in the waning laps, and after a green-white-checkered finish, Honeycutt came out on top.

That same intensity and high level of competition is expected for this year’s event.

“We are extremely excited to host the Krush 250 at South Boston Speedway again this season,” South Boston Speedway General Manager Brandon Brown said. “Last year’s event was a great one for both fans and the competitors, and this year’s event will be even more exciting. We thank Ward Burton, Jeb Burton and everyone involved with the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation for bringing the event back to South Boston Speedway.”

Advance adult general admission tickets are $20 each. Adult general admission tickets on race day will be $25 each. Seniors, military/veterans, first responders, and students with ID may purchase general admission tickets for $20 each on race day.

Suite passes are priced at $50 each. Ward & Jeb Burton Suite Meet-and-Greet passes are $100 each. All persons ages 3 and over are required to have a suite pass for seating in a suite. This event will also be included in South Boston Speedway’s season-long Trackside Parking events.

On race day, November 14, frontstretch grandstand gates are scheduled to open at 9:30 a.m. Practice will run from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Turn 4 and backstretch trackside parking gates will open at 10:30 a.m. Single-car qualifying is slated from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. An on-track driver autograph session is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Pre-race ceremonies and driver introductions are set for 1:30 p.m. and the Krush 250 feature will take the green flag at 2 p.m.
